Checkmate! On the 3rd of May, St. Paul’s School participated in a chess tournament held at Fruitvale School. The top 3 schools would be able to join the regional championships. Everyone was very excited, but some people were probably nervous about their first time in a tournament. Other than that we were ready. It was very intense and despite our efforts, we went down to 4th place during the 6th round. As the finals neared, we all hoped for 3rd place. It was the moment of truth… we ended in 2nd place overall! In the end, it was a very exciting day and the best part is that everyone had fun.
